The rat and the funky stuff in the jar

Here's a photo of Oleyca with her new pet rat, Jolie. This rat makes my skin crawl.

Our kitchen resembles a chemistry laboratory. There is always some sort of experiment going on in there involving milk or milk products. Stuff seperating or congealing or fermenting or dripping. I have no idea what is in this jar or when it will wind up in or on something I am served to eat. It has been sitting there, on the countertop, unrefrigerated, for a long, long time. Like the rat, whatever is in this jar, scares me.
